The Public Service contract states Denmark's Radio's (DR) obligation to strive for variety, diversity and excellence and to present information factually and objectively. Therefore, the national broadcaster's strategy in 2019-23 is to focus public information, education and learning is areas such as original quality content, attractive digital offers, a children's universe for digital natives and bringing news to where the consumers are. Furthermore, DR wants to engage and ensure more co-creation among Danish children and young people. DR Ultra is for tweens age 7-12. This universe consist of a TV-channel, an app and an online community, which are designed to supply programmes and online gaming, engage the young users in play and creativity, and to accommodate social interaction and conversations. Ultra is also present at various social media platforms like Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram. DR's apps and social media profiles are monitored by adults and other responsible people who help, support and intervene if necessary.
