The KiKANiNCHEN-App is a product of KiKA, which is a free and public TV-channel explicitly addressing kids at the age of 3-13. The app wants to encourage youngest internet users to engage with the internet in an explorative way. Kids can play little games, experiment and explore the app at their own pace and watch short videos.

To navigate through the app kids have to use different senses. They have to touch, swipe, blow at the device or clap in their hands to evoke some action. Parents can set a timer and administer the children's accounts. Moreover, the app is free of charge and it doesn't contain in-app-purchases or adds.
