In Slovenia, there is still a lack of quality positive online content for children. We believe that the main reason for this is the relatively small market compared to the high production costs that need to be invested to make content interactive, animated and appealing to children. In most cases, online content takes the form of a website that combines educational content, animation, video stories, games, quizzes, etc. Due to the Covid 19 situation in Slovenia and the fact that schools were closed for a longer period of time, there was a greater offer of online educational content for children during this period.
Časoris, a Slovenian project focusing on publication of the online newspaper for children and nominated for the first European Media Literacy Award in 2019, received 10,000.00 euros from the European Journalism COVID-19 Support Fund to support the production of a series of videos for children and coverage of related issues during the Covid 19 crisis.
